MOVING AS ONE: WITH INTEGRITY AND LOVE
A flock of geese always fly in formation. With a leader at the front they fan out in a V-formation so that each bird behind the leader requires less energy to stay in the air over hundreds of kilometers. As the leader tires, another bird moves from the rear to take his place and he moves back to rest. Every bird has an opportunity to be at the front. But, working together, they optimize their energy thus allowing them to fly a greater distance.
Our College is a large diversity of talents and interests, racial and religious backgrounds, knowledge, skills and roles. Each of us is a unique person in a special community we call ‘CJC’. Together, we can achieve much more than we can working alone. Our programs, in the classroom and beyond, represent our formation of purpose that enables our students to excel in their academic and co-curricular pursuits. Hence, CJC is always keen to strengthen our teaching and learning platforms, our co-curricular programs and opportunities so that, with teachers and students working together as one, we may move closer toward realizing our vision. This strong sense of community is an integral element of CJC. Our sense of unity must be the spirit that motivates us, regardless of role, to work together as one for the good of every person in our community. And a strong sense of God in our midst must be the spirit that brings us all to greater awareness of Him, and his creation, and must be strongly evidenced in the life of the community that we call ‘CJC’.
