Our top students gathering with the Principal to celebrate their proud moment. These students all had 5 – 8 Distinctions.
“2008: Some of our best results ever”
General Paper saw 96.2% pass and 17% obtain Distinctions. The national average is only 91.8%
History (H2) was sensational with 52.3% obtaining Distinctions and in History H1 it was 42.9%.
Both were way above the national average of 39.6% and 27% respectively.
11 students in Knowledge & Inquiry had singularly outstanding results with all passing and 71.4% gaining a Distinction
New subject : China Studies in English had 100% passes and 70% A/B grades
Maths & Sciences had A/B % grades of between 40% and 70%
Computing, in the last year as a subject because of declining interest, had 41.6% with A/Bs.
Literature maintained its usually high grades with 99.3% passing and 37% obtaining Distinctions
Economics also saw a significant increase in grades with 57.5% obtaining A/B grades and 63.1% an A/B at H1 level.
95 students obtained FOUR Distinctions or better in their results.
Value- added award recognition must be given to:
1. Peter Koh Kai Liang (2T16): PSLE 188, L1R5 – 12, A levels: 3 As, 4 Bs incl Merit H3 Physics.
2. Sng Bo Yang Jonathan (2T32) PSLE 197, L1R5 – 11, A levels: 4 As, 4 Bs.
The College congratulates all the students who did well this year. Whilst not everyone had a Distinction most worked hard and can be proud of what they obtained.
